Personality

Yassim Cian is a quiet and reserved individual, interested in security and peaceful living. He has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which tends to lend him a serious air, and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organised and methodical in his approach, he can generally succeed at any task which he undertakes. Cian has a tremendous respect for facts and possesses hold am equally tremendous store of them within himself.

He sometimes has difficulty understanding a theory or idea which is different from his own perspective, but if he is shown the importance or relevance of the idea to someone he respects or cares about, the idea becomes a fact, which Cian will attempt to internalise and support. Personal History

Cian comes from a deeply faithful bajoran family with a long tradition of service in the clergy. As an only child, he was expected to follow in those footsteps and so began his theological and philosophical instruction at a young age. It was a life he was content with until 2374, when a series of incidents shook his belief in the Prophets beyond repair. Abandoning his faith and causing a deep rift within the Yassim family, Cian turned away from religion and toward science, trying to find the answers that his faith had failed to provide.
