Lydia was born and raised on Cygnia VI following the successful colonisation by the USS Rembrandt. She was raised to be an avid Musician like her mother, but preferred to study Science and Politics from a young age. She developed a strong bond with her brother, Michael, who left at sixteen to pursue a career in Starfleet, moving back to Earth with their mother. After a few years, Lydia followed.
