Personal History

Born on a cargo freighter, owned by his father, he spent much of his life in space. At the age of 21, he became the owner/operator of his own small freighter. Bosworth married a human woman, from a colony on a border planet near the Romulan Neutral zone. She left him after a few years, not happy with living a life on board a cargo freighter, just moving endlessly through space. By 28, Wilhelm decided he wanted more out of life. He gave up his freighter, and signed up for Starfleet Academy. His hopes were to prove to Marguerite that he can change, and he can live a more productive and exciting life, but she has already moved on.

Counselling Records

Psychological Evaluation: Cadet Wilhelm Bosworth is a fine Cadet. His knowledge of ships, and understanding of tactics and weapons systems makes him a good candidate for promotion. However, he is clearly blinded by his emotions, and unrequited love for his ex-wife. This does not seem to effect him while on duty. Perhaps it is a distraction, though this heart break may cause problems with his morale, and staying focused long term. My recommendation, is to keep him at a post that has access to a holodeck, and that he receives a fair amount of shore leave, even if he must be ordered to take it. - Counsellor Te'las, Starfleet Academy
