Personal Background
Jeiraq Bertuk was born to parents Ekesheo and Soelsa Bertuk on Stardate 236901.05 in the Actya province on his homeworld of Kerelia. He was an outgoing and curious child, spending most of his time with childhood friends Rue and Zyvir. They would explore and catalog nature together. This inspired a deeper interest in science that exceeded even his love of music. At age 17, he entered an apprenticeship on Kerelia to study microbiology. At age 19, he began exploring a polygamous relationship with his friends Zyvir and Ruelesse and fathered two children, twins, Entaya and Tajan. Approximately a year later, Zyvir and Ruelesse married in a small ceremony on Kerelia. He still has contact with the twins and has a strong relationship with them. At the age of 21, he left this apprenticeship to pursue a career as a Starfleet officer with the promise of exploring new worlds beyond Kerelia. With equal passion in science, his friends also began attendance at Starfleet Academy. He is currently pursuing a Science major with focuses in Microbiology and Geology respectively. He is an avid musician and composed his first piece at the tender age of 5. He is a follower of the Heart of Kerelia and spends his spare time playing 3D chess and Parisses Squares. His lifelong ambition is to make an impact on the scientific community.
