James McLaren is the owner of a small pub in Belfast. He has always been very supportive of Solaris' interests, often having bought her books about spycraft. She often helped out in the pub when herfather thought her old enough, and it was there she learned many things. James is an easy going man who enjoys being a good host.

Vivian McLaren is the owner of a small florists shop. While she had hoped the Solaris would follow in her footsteps, she has been nothing but supportive of her daughter's goals in life. Vivian has always been the voice of reason in Solaris' life, trying to keep her well balanced, teaching her about many things including her Celtic heritage.

Sherana was the first person aboard the Constitution that Solaris had even spoken to at length about anything. Sherana requested help from Solaris in finding her parents location. Sol was able to help Sherana reconnect with her parents. The pair shared a couple of dances at the 2393 Constitution family reunion.

Solaris first met Sinda during the Constitution's holiday party. They spent most of the night playing darts and getting to know each other, on the 2nd level of the ships bar. Things became more intimate between the pair during shore leave following the discovery of the USS Unity. Things have continued to grow between Essen and Solaris, leaving Sol slightly confused about Essen's intent, having originally thought Essen wasn't looking for a serious relationship.

Solaris first met T'Seva during shoreleave after the Conny's mission to Dagorin VI. The two hit it off at the family reunion party finding they shared a few interests.
