The USS Zion is a Oberth class starship currently assigned to Deep Space 285 as a ready reserve support ship.
Original Assignment
USS Zion was under the command of Captain Diana Stark in 2382. It was the part of a task force led by the USS Atlanta which investigated the first known Dyson Sphere. Between the period of 2382 and 2388, the vessel functioned as a fast courier between Starbase 118 and Earth until Captain Stark's retirement.
Re-assignment
With Starfleet bolstering it's presence in the Avalon sector, the USS Zion was re-assigned to Deep Space 285 under Commander Amir El'Kanaan as a ready reserve support vessel.
