The USS Vandenburg is a Nebula class vessel constructed in 2361. It has seen numerous personnel changes but has only ever had one commanding officer, Admiral Jacob Russell Krieger. It did not participate in the Battle of Wolf 359, but saw a tremendous amount of action during the Dominion War. The Vandenburg has been stationed in the Bajor Sector since 2374, monitoring and patrolling the Cardassian border. Immediately after the war was over, the Vandenburg was reassigned to Deep Space 26, to take advantage of Admiral Krieger's experience. The Vandenburg uses the large upper equipment section of the ship for sensor augmentation.
