The USS Calippus is a Nova class starship assigned to the Ithassa Region. On Stardate 238509.4, she was observing the protoplanetary disk dubbed HH36 about 45 light years from Sol along with the USS Ronin. Due to a navigational error, she would have been destroyed by a solar flare from the protostar if the crew of the Ronin had not sent a flight of fighters to warn her in the nick of time.
