The USS Barrington is an Excelsior class starship currently assigned to Deep Space 285 as a ready reserve support vessel.
Original Assignment
The USS Barrington originally saw service with Zeta Fleet as a support vessel for the USS Steadfast-A in the Trinity Sector between the years of 2383 to 2393.
Re-assignment
With Starfleet bolstering it's presence in the Avalon sector and Starfleet's cost reduction program, the USS Barrington was re-assigned to Deep Space 285 under Captain Heather Stevens as a ready reserve support vessel.
Because of it's age and being out of cycle in its refits, the USS Barrington has quite a number of issues with its software and hardware systems. Though Starfleet does plan to update her, her Category 2 status on the Starfleet Inactive Ships Division list places her near the bottom of the list.
