The USS Arthur Royale is an Intrepid class starship assigned to routine patrol of Sector 001 under the command of Captain Miles Whittacre. On stardate 238507.15, the Arthur Royale was asked to investigate a deviation from the filed flight plan of the USS Ronin, which was supposed to be running simple warp tests after extensive repairs at the Utopia Planitia Fleetyards. Upon hailing the Ronin, the Arthur Royale was fired upon and a short battle lead to the capture of a small band of mercenaries who had been trying to hijack the Akira class vessel.
