Hobbies and Pastimes
Cole enjoys building things and has a particular interest in old and outdated technology. When the oportunity arises he likes to collect pieces of interest, the more obscure the better, that he then "fixes", sometimes with modern day improvements before displaying on the shelves or as a centrepoint on the table in his quarters.
Cole remains active and takes a regular interest in sporting competitions. He works out regularly and enjoys spending time on the holodeck when duties permit.

Cole's quarters are sometimes tidy, though quite often the opposite. Due to his hobby of collecting pieces of old tech anywhere in his quarters that should be a space tends to become cluttered quite quickly depending on what stage of restoration or investigation he is at.
Ambitions and Goals
Cole hasnt decided on a long term career goal yet. Cole was never one to follow family tradition which was one of the contributing factors to him having enlisted in starfleet. Cole loves working with machines, engines, technology and all manner of gadgets and as such is happy aslong as is able to do so. One day he'd like to be a Chief Engineer and though he'd step up to the challenge if it presented itself he doesnt find himself in any particular rush.
Personal History
As Cole's parents were a Federation ambassador and the daughter of a Betazoid politician, it was often thought, even expected that he would grow up to pursue a career in diplomacy or politics as his older sister had done. Throughout his childhood he saw little of his father who was always away on assignment, instead being raised on Betazed by his mother and her family. Cole was always a very competitive child and always felt that he had to try harder to prove that he was as good as, if not better than the other children of his age.
During his childhood Cole would regularly take things apart, much to the frustration of his family, in order to work out how they worked and in some cases attempt to improve them. Particularly during his younger days Cole considered himself am inventor extraordinaire and though his mindest has become more focused he still enjoys the theoretical aspects of engineering aswell as maintaining a interest in invention and creation.
Cole qualified with honours from college a year early and put in an application to join Starfleet. He considers his learning is ongoing and maintains a belief that the universe will be a boring place when theres nothing new for him to discover or invent. He hopes to be a valuable asset to wherever he is posted.
