Fergus enlisted the aid of {{n|Alora|DeVeau}} to locate the doctor's quarters. During the visit, Chythar attempted to argue with them to no avail. He's been getting on rather well with the pup since he was gifted. In fact, during free time and sometimes even on the clock, these two are often seen together.

Upon the death of Queen Virah-Latyi, it is believed by Chythar that these incursions would stop. After his final temporal incursion, he witnessed the death of the queen. When he returned, he sent Alora the results of the tricorder scan. Whatever link he had to the past was gone. His association with Alora hasn't continued much beyond this, as the last time they spoke was shortly before his transfer to the ''Columbia''.

He looked like he needed a friend, so they began talking and their friendship was born. He takes jujitsu lessons from her once in a while and has become one of her closes friends since. Every now and again, he comes face to face with the mat in practice because he drops his guard. Sometimes, he is asked to just listen, which puts him in the unlikely role of a counselor. It helps once in a while. He's also teaching her what he knows about shielding her mind.

Alex has also nursed CD after a night of drinking landed the CMO blasted.

Later that night, Chythar found out he too was being transferred to the same place. Now, together aboard their new home, they prepare for the next phase of their adventure.

|I heard that
|BLURB=Met in the aftermath of [[Excalibur_Pythia%27s_Tale|Pythia's Tale]] on board the {{USS|Excalibur|A}}, Chythar had a few sessions with {{n|Sal|Taybrim}} and managed to get to know him a bit. Then, unexpectedly, Sal was transferred to the Darwin. Sal promised CD an open line if he ever needs it, and resulting in the young doctor building a gradual hatred of counselors; he sees Sal as the third one he's lost. It was during that time that he realized he loved Sal as a brother rather than as a romantic interest.

::By a lucky transfer request, Taybrim returns to the ''Excalibur'', though in the position of science as opposed to counselor. The two men begin to form a mental connection, caused by Sal's damaged telepathy. Later on, this connection evolves into a T4/E4 between the two men because of an accident during one of Chythar's treatments of a patient.

:Then, the two men get separated yet again, but this time it is Chythar who leaves for the {{USS|Garuda}} when he is unexpectedly [[Skyfire_The_Transfer|transferred]] to the {{USS|Garuda}}. They still correspond through subspace letters and the occasional holocall, but most of the time it is a waiting game to see who gets the other's letters. Often times, their shore leaves don't sync and they have to make do with words. They had a brief reunion on Starbase 118, training a class of cadets where Taybrim confessed he was hunting Chythar for his stew recipe before giving the more serious answer that he was assigned as Chythar's first officer.

::After not even a month serving on the {{USS|Invicta}}, Chythar was sent in a shuttle to Starbase 118 by the Q, who had apparently known about a transfer. No explanation, just that he was being transferred to the {{USS|Columbia}}, which was to dock at the starbase. So, he contacted Sal and gave him the recipe for the Stew Surprise on the condition that {{n|Vitor|Silveira}} wasn't let anywhere near it.

He still has a few trust issues to work out, but he is slowly beginning to find that he can actually work with her. By the end of his [[Skyfire_Square_One|first session]] it was unknown if this was to be the start of Chythar's Garuda score card of breaking counselors. He had mentioned {{n|Sal|Taybrim}} as his previous counselor, whom he made progress with and described his track record with other counselors.

By the end of it, he had taken a very positive step towards controlling and integrating his abilities.

:During their mission to DSX during a quarantine, Chythar undertook a risky experiment that used his previous research on the Skyfire Cure for a bioweapon that apparently targeted Cardassians. He volunteered himself as a test subject to help create the antigen as there didn’t seem to be any time for a proper set of tests before people started dying. During his [[Skyfire,_Chythar/EyeOfTheStorm|harrowing experience]], he used his telepathy without realizing it and called out to Ris while he was incapacitated. As he regained his mental faculties once he was pulled free by the antigen, he had auditory hallucinations of her name echoing in his mind.

:During his [[Skyfire,_Chythar/PathOut1|next session]] Skyfire apologizes multiple times for his part in the mission, and mentally reaching out to her. They have a sibling quarrel  [[Skyfire,_Chythar/PathOut2|after which she tells him]] that he is considered family,  then after the dust settles he builds his own mental shields. Later on after some medical tests on Moonsong, it is discovered that Chythar’s mental contact actually acted as a catalyst to change her prior rating of E3 to a new rating of T3/E4.
:Following the plant disaster, he brought his friend {{n|Devlin}} to his counseling session, during which time he mentioned the conversation in which {{n|Chase|Valaine}} seemed to be hinting at romantic involvement. She encouraged CD to call Chase once he left her office, and right before he did both he mentioned that he'd like to shift the focus to professional assistance rather than telepathic.
:After the incident involving his temporal incursion, during which he found [[Skyfire,_Chythar/I_Know_Them|the bodies of three of his colleagues]], he came back aboard the ''Garuda'' to find said three bodies (those of Core, Shandres and Saveron) all seemingly alive and well. Counselor Moonsong went to his quarters to [https://groups.google.com/d/msg/sb118-garuda/o8cPDATNA_0/aJwgznctmpQJ check up on him], and to get his sympathetic ear to some of her own issues. ◀ 2370 Jiu-Jitsu: On stardate 237011.04, Lael enrolled in Jiu-Jitsu training to learn how to defend herself against a bully at school who tormented her because of her alien heritage.
◀ 2380 FFE: Lael joined her school's FFE club because of her interest in animals and nature. She took home several first and second place ribbons from competitions. She was most respected for her expertise in plant hybridization.
◀ 2381 Finishing School: On stardate, 238102.15, Lael's mother enrolled her in finishing school with Lael's knowledge, threatening to sell Lael's favorite horse if she didn't attend the classes and take them seriously.
◀ 2382 Top Marks: Shortly after the start of her sophomore year of high school (238208.30), Lael is initiated into her school's National Honor Society. During her time with NHS, she worked with such cause-based organizations as The Association for Conflict Resolution and The Peace Education Foundation.
◀ 2385 Almost A Queen: Lael's charming personality earned her the admiration of many and, in her senior year, earned her a nomination for homecoming queen. The weeks leading up to the final vote were difficult. She endured a great deal of bullying from the other candidate, Mallory Haines, in an attempt to pressure Lael to drop out of the race. In the end, when the votes were announced on stardate 238505.05, Lael lost to Mallory by only one vote.

High School Graduate: On stardate 238505.25, Lael graduated from high school Magna Cum Laude and was asked to give the graduation speech when the valedictorian became violently ill the day before graduation.

Starfleet Academy: On stardate 238507.07, Lael learned that she'd been accepted into Starfleet Academy. Caving to pressure from her mother, she selected the Command Track with the hope of having her own ship someday.

Friends From The Start: While wandering around on the first day of classes lost, Lael bumped into Ivina Genestra. The two became fast friends and within a month of beginning her Starfleet training (stardate 238509.16), Ivina introduced Lael to her friends Michael Zola and Aidia Carter.

◀ 2386 Crushed Dreams: During the spring of her first year at the Academy (stardate 238603.14), Lael was required to attend a mandatory psychological evaluation after her instructors and peers expressed concerns over her erratic behavior. The evaluation revealed that she was experiencing psychological trauma due to viewing and reading about torture. She was immediately dropped from the Command Track and nearly kicked out of the Academy.

A Change of Plans: Lael was allowed to continue at the Academy on stardate 238608.17, but had to select another major and attend counseling sessions each week as well as regular physicals to determine her fitness for duty. Her passion for fixing things and for science lead her to an Engineering and Helm/Comm/Operations dual major with a minor in Physics.

◀ 2387 Another Boulder: After breaking up with girlfriend Ivina, Lael was devastated. Her close friends coerced her into a rock climbing trip up Mount Whitney. However, the trip ended in tragedy when her climbing partner, Michael, wanted to go up a dangerous face and didn't anchor the piton into the rock properly. It came loose and sent both plunging to their deaths. Lael survived by falling onto a ledge and was paralyzed from the waist down due to a serious fracture of her lower spine.

An Unusual Beginning: About a week after her accident (238706.14), Lael met Elina Kincade, who was Lael's nurse at the time. The two gradually became friends and Elina continued to support Lael through her recovery.

New Hope: Told by her doctors that she'd never walk again with serious assistance due to the severity and location of her injury, Lael fell into a deep depression that not even those closest to her could pull her out of. It wasn't until she was approached by a civilian doctor that she saw a glimmer of hope for a future that didn't involve a wheelchair or other assistive device. She was the first Humanoid to receive a highly controversial nanotechnology spinal repair treatment (stardate 238707.09).

◀ 2388 Back In Action: On stardate 238801.17, Lael enters her third year at the Academy.
◀ 2389 An Opportunity of A Lifetime: Lael is selected for and begins her Engineering Apprenticeship with the Field Training program aboard Starbase 118 (238901.17).

Could It Be Love?: One night, Lael goes out for drinks with some colleagues and meets Jensar Berel, a Betazoid diplomat (238905.24).

Tying The Knot: After dating for six months, Lael and Jensar elope on Risa against the wishes of both their families (238911.03).

◀ 2390 An Ending: After only six months of marriage, Jensar is called home to replace his brother on the Betazed council and Lael is forced to choose between her husband and her career. She chooses her career and the two file for divorce (239004.08).

Not Ready: After the heartbreak of her divorce, Lael wasn't ready for another serious relationship, but also was lonely. She met Alva Tigan at a bar on Starbase 118. They hit it off and Lael was lonely, so the two entered a no strings attached arrangement (239007.25)

Another Sad Ending: Alva receives news that she's been selected as a host. She asks Lael to be her girlfriend, but Lael is still hurting over Jensar and says no. Alva, disappointed and hurt, ends their arrangement and leaves for Trill (239101.12).
