"Leave us alone. Your needs do not concern us."
a Tisrans statement.
The Tisrans are really two species that through constant contact and eventual interbreeding have now blended together to create a single species.

They are also known as "Tis'Rah".

History

Racurasans

The Racurasans evolved as a peaceful, agricultural people. One who grew and developed at a fairly consistent rate. They spread across their world and eventually formed a unified people under one government. Scientific advances were encouraged and technology was embraced.

Eventually they learned how to build and design space craft. They took that first hesitant step into space and discovered that they were not the only species to have developed in their own system. They decided to send a fleet of 5 ships to establish friendly contact. Their 5 biggest and best ships were prepared and launched.

Kahrians

The Kahrians evolved initially as hunters, this lead to conflict over hunting grounds with other tribes and eventually to small border wars when they finally developed the technology to allow settled communities to flourish. As time progressed these small border conflicts between the different city states grew into full-fledged wars of conquest. They continued for hundreds of years as the city states slowly died out to be replaced by the development of small nations.

These small nations were eventually destroyed and absorbed into larger ones. As a result there was usually some kind of armed conflict going on somewhere at all times. Development was slow, chaotic and often stagnant but they eventually managed to survive the industrial and modernization periods without destroying themselves. After more than two thousand years of this only 3 nations remained, still fighting for supremacy.

First Contact

The Racurasans landed amid the smallest of the 3 remaining nations. (Dal-She nation) They had expected to be greeted with open arms and hospitality. Instead they were fired upon, arrested and thrown into prison where they were questioned and tortured. Eventually the Kahrians (Dal-She nation) became convinced that they were really aliens from another world. It was the advanced technology incorporated into their ships which really tipped the scales but by that time almost 1/5 of the prisoners had died under questioning.

Final Kahrian War

The Kahrians (Dal-She nation) forced the surviving Racurasans to modify their ships. Creating and adding weapons. Something that horrified the surviving Racurasans but the continued torture and symbolic execution of some of the survivors quickly convinced them to do as they were ordered.

Once they were completed with the weapons upgrades the Kahrians then used the 5 ships to attack and eventually defeat the other 2 nations. In the process 3 of their space ships were destroyed and the other two so badly damaged that they were eventually reduced to scrap. However by this time the Kahrians had developed their own ship production facility manned by the last surviving Racurasans.

Invasion

Over the next 25 years they built a massive fleet of small offensive warships and 5 times that number of massive military transport ships. In order to reduce the possibility of rebellion only those military individuals from the conquering nation served on the warships and the best of the military left from the other 2 nations formed the infantry and control forces on the unarmed transports.

During this time any and all ships that came anywhere near them from Rah'Cura were either captured or destroyed. Eventually the fleet was ready and as soon as it was it was launched. When it arrived at Rah'Cura the fleet landed with no opposition from the native population.

Rah’Turasa Slavery

Over the next 450 years members of both species were transported back and forth between their two worlds. The Racurasans originally serving only as slave labour, however as time went by they became an intricate part of the new developing society. They were granted certain freedoms and continued to be a driving force in the merging of their two species.

Soon after this slavery was legally abolished even though it had technically been more a symbolic thing for almost a hundred years. During the next 200 years intermarrage between the two species became common. As a result the two species eventually started to identify themselves not as the Kahrians, and Racurasans, but as the Tis'Rah, which means “The Merged”.

The Ethil-Suanli Expansion

Ethil-Suanli translates to mean "Reach the Stars". It was at this time that they developed warp drive engines and started to explore the universe around them.

During this era the Tisrans travelled to 7 different systems, colonized 5 planets and several habitable moons.

During this period and after it was a time of peace and prosperity, one where all of the colonies grew. Further intermarriage continued the inevitable and there were fewer and fewer pure bloods of either species. This golden age lasted for just over 300 years.

D’Shokir Alliance

Then 3 of the larger colonies banded together, established new trade deals and expanded on their old ones with each other while canceling trade deals with the other colonies. For them this made sense as they were the farthest from the home system and the other colonies. This would reduce cost and increase profits for themselves. Eventually it became known as the D’Shokir Alliance which means “Privledged”.

Tal’Sjai Expansion

This is the name of their second great colonization push, one that resulted in another 4 colonies and a number of habitable moons being settled in 5 systems over 75 years. Great effort was put into establishing and providing for these colonies but the return on their investment was not as great as it had been for their previous expansion.

Slowly the economy of a number of newer colonies and a couple of the older ones started to suffer. This triggered a depression, one that expanded to affect the entire empire except for the D’Shokir Alliance. It caused resentment and hard feeling among the other colonies.

The Ro’btaci War

These negative feelings and sentiments festered over a twenty year period and might have resulted in further internal difficulties if they had not made contact with the Ro’btaci. Unfortunately this initial contact resulted in some kind of insult to them which caused them to break off contact.

They would not be seen from or heard from again for almost a year. When they were it was when they attacked some of the Tisran’s outer colonies and habitable moons. This exploded into the Ro’btaci war which became the greatest war ever fought by the Tisran people. It was devastating and almost threatened to destroy them as a society and as a unified people.

Some of the outer colonies were completely destroyed and had to be abandoned and a couple of their settled moons as well. Billions of people died, including all of the inhabitants of the Dal-She colony who had been pure blood Kahrian, the last of their kind in the empire.

After 62 years of constant warfare peace was finally established between the two species, a border was agreed upon and a strong military presence was established along this border to ensure that the other side would not be able to start up the conflict again without warning.

Tis'Rah and the Federation

The USS Tahiti encountered a Tis’Rah battle cruiser patrolling there border in 2367. It was a tense and possible disastrous meeting, one that was adverted only because the Federation vessel was willing to back off and leave the area.

Further contact with them has been strained and difficult. At this time no formal means of communication or co-operation exists between them and any other know species.

Government

Nalik

A Nalik is more or less known as a governor. One is appointed to oversee each of the colonies within the empire. This individual is the direct link between the Tisrans’s high council and the colonies high council. His entire job is to oversee and maintain effective communication between the colony and the central government.

Sjil'Tkyz

This is the name given to the high council of a colony. This group seems to be made up of equal parts elected representatives of the people and hereditary positions filled from among the powerful elite families on the colony.

The T'kitlin Shol

This is the Tisran’s high council and it is made up of equal parts elected representatives of the people and hereditary positions filled from among the powerful elite families on the Empire. For every hereditary position there will always be an elected representative to maintain the equal balance between the two parties.

Description

Racurasans

According to their records the Racurasans originally were hairless with skin tones that ranged from pale red to orangeish red to yellowish red.

Kahrians

According to their records the Kahrians originally were hairless with dark black to dark gray skin tones on rough irregular thick, almost leather like patches of skin that gave them a patchwork look.

Tis'rah

The product of generations of interbreeding between the Kahrians and the Racurasans, the Tis'rah exhibit traits from both species. This includes the yellow, orange, pale red underlying skin tones topped by thick irregular sections of dark gray to black patches of skin.

Physiology

As with most intelligent humanoid species they have a very complex system with specialized organs, and unique hormones, chemicals and enzymes. They are typical humanoids with most of the physical, mental and biological medical problems that seem to plague most humanoids.

Psychology

They seem to be slightly antagonistic to all species and dedicated to protecting their empire from outside influences. This desire to be isolationists seems to be supported by a massive distrust of other species.

Other than this not much is currently known about this aspect of their society as they have so far refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Religion

Not much is currently known about this aspect of their society as they have so far refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Mythology

Not much is currently known about this aspect of their society as they have so far refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Society

Not much is currently known about their society other than it appears to be heavily influenced by their past and militaristic in nature. So far they have refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Culture

Not much is currently known about this aspect of their society as they have so far refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Customs

Not much is currently known about this aspect of their society as they have so far refused to allow a single alien to enter within their borders.

Technology

They do not have transporter or replicator technology but their military technology seems to be fairly close to that of the Federation and on a par with the Klingons and Cardassians.

Economy

They seldom trade with anyone outside of their own empire but long range scans have shown a healthy and complex trade system within their borders. This would seem to indicate a fairly strong and completely self-sufficient economic system.

Military

After fighting a devastating and brutal war with the Ro’btaci they currently have a large and well-designed fleet of warships crewed by a professional and well trained force of military soldiers. This fleet consistently patrol the borders of their empire which currently covers 8 star systems.

They have over 12 different ship classes which cover everything from frigates up to and including a battle cruiser. They also have 8 support style military ships such as troop transports, medical ships, supply vessels, etc.

Federation Intelligence Files

Upon in-depth investigation Federation experts have determined that the Tisrans were originally two different alien species. Based on the few data files Federation Intelligence was able to procure these two species developed in the same system on different worlds. While they had very similar physiologies to each other there were a few marked differences. Now after more than 750 years of intermarriage they are one species.
