Thrant Adis is a Rodulan engineer and recent star fleet academy graduate. He was born 60 years ago on his home world of Rodul where he studied as electrical engineer. There isn’t much to tell from his formative years. Though his family was few and far between he was brought up in a good home with good values. He was particularly taught to be mindful of the “Artist’s” influence (the deity of the Rodulan people).

Somewhere along the line as Thrant finished his electrical engineering studies he stopped believing in the Artist particularly as the few family members he had began to drift apart. Perhaps as a way of compensating for the family issues, he became involved with a Bajoran drifter that was on Rodul at the time. The last Thrant saw of the woman, Borse Enil, she had become pregnant with his child but proved impossible to track down thereafter.

Afterward having come to the realisation of what had happened Thrant booked passage on the first ship he could afford to get onto. He quickly realised that chasing after Borse Enil was next to impossible but more importantly, he realised that he needed to clean himself up figuratively speaking and start to make something of his life. To that end he joined starfleet to put his skills to use and to give him the chance to travel as he once dreamed of as a child.

As he progressed through the Academy he has slowly started to explore his religious tendencies. Also to aid him in fitting in, he took to wearing customized wrist worn bio neural inhibitors. The inhibitors are designed to greatly reduce his telepathic abilities which many outside his home world see as unacceptable.
