Previous ships called Independence

Support as Nominator: One that I rewrote from the ground up a little while ago. However, it shows a summary of each ship to have borne the name, a pic for most of them (none could be found for the earliest ones), hopefully insightful prose into the history of a name that has long been a presence in both the US Navy and more recently the UFOP fleet. - Lt Cmdr. Comment': I'd recommend using the "thumb" or "frame" tags for the images to clean them up. Also, perhaps using the subtitles as links to the ships, instead put a "Main article..." indented link, even if it's on WP? --Wolf /^{talk page} 00:57, 16 December 2008 (EST)

Response: I've always found "Thumb" looks ugly on the page, while frame seems to be incompatable with scaling, which is used in every single one of the pics. As such, I'm very hesitant to use thumb and frame is impractical. - Lt Cmdr. Salak^Talk 12:55, 30 December 2008 (EST)
