Dangerous Company is used to having to rough their conditions and during their intensive training at Starfleet Marine Academy on Mars was no different. They are not used to the luxuries that life has to offer such Soldiers but on the Starbase they have it made.

With several decks designated to the Marines only, they have seperate decks for their facilities. On one deck, living quarters. Seperate living quarters are assigned to Commissioned Offiers, whereas Non-Comissioned Officers are still only seperated by their gender. They are bunked together to make them act as a unit. It is the common belief that an Army that lives together, eats together, sleeps together will fight together.

They have Holodecks assigned for their rigorous training regimes and the drills they face every day to keep themselves in perfect fighting form. They are the peak of fitness, the definition of skill and the epitome of unity and must keep it so.

However, it would seem they'd rather spend more time in the Dungeons then in the training centre.

Holodecks

The Holodecks for the Marine Corps are no different to those used by Starfleet Officers. They use the Holodecks for rigorous training and drill sessions in adverse weather conditions and more specifically, for terrain training that could not be achieved on base otherwise.

There are extra safety regulations for Marine training in the Holodeck. In certain training programs, the safety protocols are integral to the program and cannot be deactivated. However, in programs which train perception and endurance, the safeties would be impeding on the skill and nature of the Marine. In this instance, safety protocols can only be overridden by a member of the Command Team.

There are several standard programs open to the Marines, including: • Jungle Survival Training • Desert Survival Training • Drop Training • Emergency Evacuation Training

And other fitness programs which can be accessed by any of the Officers on station. They are vigorous and comply with Marine fitness standards that must be achieved.

The Holodecks are also a source of amusement and leisure for the Marines. There are often friendly tournaments between the squads and different teams compiled by the platoon. They play a variety of Terran games including Tennis, Squash, Racquetball, Springball, Football and a range of high impact sports. There is also a range of games contributed by the variety of races in the Marines.
