Background
Raised on the Martian colony, Nick Stahl grew in a family of scientists and engineers. His older brother and sister were both well accomplished by the time Nick was ready to enter the academy, with his brother at the Daystrom Institute and his sister was already off on the frontier in Starfleet.
Although there were very high expectations, Nick was only ever determined to squeak by with the bare minimum. He was pressured into joining Starfleet, and just made it into the academy. After years of barely passing classes, he controversially graduated and is now pending assignment
