===Father - Tillul Sim===

'''Relationship with Genkos''': Genkos helped his father in the surgery practically every day until he went off to the Academy, although sometimes he would raid the 'medicinal' alcohol. Whilst Genkos had been growing up Tillul had taken him camping on a local island every summer, and when Genkos was a teenager, Tillul inserted a mental block into his son's mind, which Genkos has only just discovered. These trips were a favourite of Genkos, although this ended when Genkos lost his leg. It was to aid Tillul in surgery aboard a starship that Genkos lost his leg, and Tillul holds some guilt over the incident, and as such created Genkos' first cane from a tree in the family's back garden. When Genkos graduated, Tillul handed him a bonding gift which contains something that Genkos will apparently need in his darkest hour. Tillul had opened the box that his father had handed him on the day Genkos had lost his leg, and it contained a battered veterinary textbook, which he supposed was to remind him of his chosen course in life. This incident had also further deepened Tillul's atheistic tendencies.

===Mission - Operation Sea Devil===

After a briefing on the Gorkon, Genkos was assigned to his first away team as leader. He was put in charge of Stoyer, Neathler, and Tereen. They took a shuttle craft down to the asteroid Nassau, where their mission was to capture the Orion Syndicate boss, Leelou. After renting a hotel room to utilise as a base, Genkos sent Stoyer and Neathler to the market to find materials for a neutralising device that Tereen was building. However, Genkos and Tereen were interrupted by a drunk Gorn, who they fought into unconsciousness, and fled down the fire escape. Reconvening in a bar named the Copper next to the Vortex, Leelou's base, they formed a plan of attack. Genkos and Tereen sneaked into the back of the club, surprising Leelou, and managing to subdue and capture her as a team. Escorting her back to their shuttle became tricky however, and they got into a gunfight near the docks. Thankfully, a well placed shot from Stoyer took her down, and they managed to get her back to the Triumphant without further issues. Arriving at the Triumphant, however, Genkos discovered that Jo Marshall was severely injured, and he stayed by her bed until they could reach the Gorkon. She was also visited by [[Caitríona Cayne]], the Gorkon's new medical ensign, with whom he had a heartfelt conversation, which was crashed by a critically injured Groznin Smith.

Genkos met Samira at the Hull Party after the Skarbek dream state, and was not impressed by her judgemental attitude towards their counsellor, [[Corliss Fortune]]. His attitude towards her softened on Nassau as she proved herself a capable officer who challenged him just the right amount.

Genkos thinks Kyrrha is a very intelligent officer, who is talented and capable. She was fantastic to have on his away team on Nassau and he was very proud when she received various medals for that mission. He is also fascinated by her from a medical point of view as the Vulcan-Klingon hybrid is very rare.

Kel was teaching Genkos Betazed meditation techniques to help control his telepathy, but their relationship developed into something more physical. They don't particularly want to put a label on what they had.
