Freya is the third child of four. Her mother a Doctor and her father was a Federation negotiator. At the age of 2, her father entered the Diplomatic corps. In the April of that year Charles Andersen sent to Vulcan. Later with the success of the Cardassian negotiations of 2367, her mother was able to participate in a medical exchange, and yet again the Andersen family moved, this time to Cardassia Prime. | |||
It was a difficult time for Freya and her brothers, but there were some that helped them settle particularly the Mindur family. When Cardassia allied itself with the Dominion in 2373, it was Gul Mindur that made sure the Andersen family returned to Federation territory. Charles Andersen Sr. was captured and assumed executed. After the remaining family return to Earth, Freya's relationship with her younger brother Eric became strained. Eric blamed all Cardassians for their father’s death, while Freya defended the family that helped them. | |||
Freya was successful in her application to the academy in 231509, her specializations intelligence and security. In the same year she joined the Academy Ice hockey team. During 237611, Freya was on exercise on Evadne IV with her class, when she and two other cadets were involved in a cave-in. After this event she transferred to Vulcan Campus, allowing for counseling and to continue her studies. | |||
In 237709 Freya transferred back to the San Francisco Campus with renewed determination and confidence. After her brother Conrad, spent 2375-77 on cadet cruises during the Dominion War, he returned to his regular studies, graduating in the same class as his sister. In 237906 Freya graduated from the academy with honors. Her first assignment on graduating was to Starfleet intelligence at Starbase 118 (aka Black Tower). During her time at SFI, she discovered her father had not been executed as she originally believed. It was also revealed she had a half-brother, Reyek Ipsa. He was a product of Charles’ infidelity with K’lora Ipsa, a doctor that had worked with his wife Rhiannon. SFI and numerous other intelligence agencies across the two quadrants are interested in his apprehension.
