When the rain starts it quickly become clear that the forecast was only partly right. It is a rainstorm, but that is not all. Thunder, lightning and hail follow suit. The lightning striking in the forest also leads to a large creature being spooked and breaking through the defense perimeter now rampant in the village.
When the rain starts it quickly become clear that the forecast was only partly right. It is a rainstorm, but that is not all. Thunder, lightning and hail follow suit. The lightning striking in the forest also leads to a large creature being spooked and breaking through the defense perimeter now rampant in the village. The creature damages some buildings and other structures, and injures Sherana and Ellie Park.

Security is ready to jump right in and uses heavy tranq darts to pacify the creatures, eliminating the danger with the creature alive for Thoth to check out. Meanwhile the teams - while most of them in safety of buildings - continue their search for answers. Once the hailstorm subsides the teams are called for a debrief on the Plaza.
{{Heading|Act 3|#800000}}
Several teams have found possible causes for the dying of plants. After Jalana collects all the information she is giving out tasks for the teams.
=== Findings during research ===
* Radioactive Mushrooms (fungi)/Soil samples
** The soil in the colony has not shown any traces of radiation, though the fungi may push something else through the soil and root system. Stapledon had found occasional hotspots through the village that might be explained by that.
* Puffballs were found that were not affected by the illness, possible immunity.
* The Kameryan family brought crops from their home planet that were planted in the colony
* N'veri, the Kameryan child, suddenly fell ill. It may or may not be related
* Bolen employed a new shipping Company (Deep Rockets Delivery Service) that may have brought in something new to the planet like pesticides or other material.
* The Kameryans arrived via ship that crashed hours outside the colony
** That crash was 6 years ago and is not related, they still may have some other answers or healthy plant-seeds for comparison on board
* High densities of mycelium were found in the soil. The Mycorrhizal network of the colony could be used as distribution system for a counter once the cause is found.

! Team Members !! Task
|-
| Ada, Yirah, Tagus || Have a look at the radioactive mushrooms and soil samples. Compare them to the samples from throughout the colony, and the puffballs that were found. Check if there is any substance that is present in one but no the other. And compare the concentration of it to the location of the hotspots Kimberly mentioned. Maybe that way we can figure out what exactly we are dealing with. Since Kiamon's samples are from after the issue had already started, check with Yasam if he has any data or samples of old plantlife from before the issue showed up.
|-
| Ba’el, Jora, Park || Check on the the sick child, N'Veri. Not only to make sure they get better, but compare their scans with those of their parents. And with those of the other inhabitants, just in case they are sensitive to something other people aren't.
|-
| T’Ama, Herren || Check on more information about the new shipping company. Bolen should have information about who they are, what they brought, cargo lists and such. If he may not know, ask his valet Varl, he seems to know pretty much everything going on around Bolen's business. Also check with him where the Delivery ship usually lands to see if that area is more affected or not, just in case.
|-
| T’Seva, Shimisi || While Kiamon said that the crashed shuttle will is not related to the plants and has been here quite a while, I would like you to head out and check on it. From what I understand going by the data we got. It is several hours outside the colony so have the ship beam you over to it and back. Check if there is any sign on why the ship crashed and if the ship can be repaired and maybe you can find anything useful in the cargo they had to left. If they have more of the crops even in seed form in the ship, we may be able to use them to compare them with the sick plants.
|-
| Savok, Evria || We want to know if this mycorrhizal network is wide spread and strong enough to possibly distribute an antidote once we figure out what is causing this. Do some more scans and analysis of the area, determine if we have a good enough vein for entry nearby. You can do that from here or use the ship's scanners, the more certain you are the better. That way we can put a solution in action the moment we know what's wrong.
|-
| Stapledon, Ch'Nilmani || Some of the houses lost power, it's possible that the power supply was damaged, so I want you go grab Commander Ch'Nilmani and check those out fix it if you can. If you can make it safer for the future I won't stop you.
|-
| Rajel and medics || Check on those that were injured during the Hailstorm and/or by the creature and treat them
|-
| Lystra and anyone else || Oversee repairs that need to be done after the Hailstorm and creature damaged parts of the colony.

{{Heading|Epilogue|#800000}}
The crew continues to test their findings and discover that the pesticide found in the ground, plants and mushrooms is indeed the cause of the problems. They concoct a solution to bind the compound and flush it out of the colony's system through the Mycorrhizal network. Process is made, while the rest of the colony is being repaired. While the plants and soil will need some time to recover it will lead to the colony being able to regrow plants at a later point. Until then they find new locations to plant their crops are helped out with replicators and assistance in strengthening their power supplies, as well as improvements on their infrastructure within means. The affected colonists are treated against pesticide poisoning as well and are on the route to recovery.
