Meidra T'Lora | Meidra T'Lora Sirin was born to astrophysicist Sahriv, and Lenore, a writer and historian. She was raised alongside her two siblings on Vulcan for the first ten years of her life, until her parents decided that their children needed to experience other cultures by travel. She returned to Vulcan at age 12 to do her kahs-wan. While this was usually done at age eleven, her father had to convince the elders, one of whom was his own father that Meidra's El Aurien blood made her just as worthy to go through the ritual. Strangely enough, there were no such qualms over her twin brother going through the ritual, perhaps because his features were prominently Vulcan, while Meidra had red hair and green eyes.
She passed, but it gave her a life long hatred of the desert. Her father had been called away on what he'd said was a routine science conference. He never returned, his ship classified as a lost vessel. Meidra has never gotten over it. During her ritual trek across the desert, she and her brother had taken different routes, and both were attacked by an unseen force. Her father appeared to save her just as she was close to death. Her brother had not seen him, so no one believed he had been there. As her family chose to believe her father could not have been there as he obviously would have saved his son, Meidra quickly decided that following the path of logic over truth was not the path she wanted to take. | She passed, but it gave her a life long hatred of the desert. It took a lot to reach deep and work to connect with the entity that had taken over the Unity. Around each turn, we could have simply destroyed the ship and followed orders that would keep it out of the hands of any who were not the Federation. Instead, we worked towards a better solution.''<br>—[[Kalianna Nicholotti]]}}
