|What started as a working relationship when Sundassa was assigned to Jalana's department turned into a close friendship between the women. Even though that Sundassa later left the department to become First Officer has not changed anything between them. Sundassa was the first to [[SunJalJP1|hear about Viktor's and Jalana's engagement]], while Jalana was the first crew member to hear [[SunJalJP2|about Sun's relationship to Jaxx]]. Sundassa was also the bringer of [[SunJalBadNews|bad news of Viktor being arrested for murder]] and accompanied her as friend and doctor to receive her symbiont.

|Shelther is the big brother of her best friend Sundassa. Jalana met him when he had come to visit his sister on the Apollo. Over time, also thanks to her friendship with Sun, she had also become friends with Shelther. She had attended his promotion to Captain, and only a short time later he was the one promoting Jalana to Commander and handing her the keys to the USS Constitution-B as her own command.

|During Jalana's visit for Shelther's promotion, Jalana had been curious to see Doyle's Sick Bay. When she arrived there she met Selene, working there as Medical Officer. It had taken only moments before Jalana recognized Sundassa in her, despite the change of hair and eye colour, and the obvious age difference. She learned that Selene had come from the future to change her past but then had gotten stuck here. To not be too obvious she had changed her appearance. While Selene obviously was Sundassa to Jalana, she also learned that Selene is her own person with differences to the Sun she knew. The women stayed in contact and despite the changes and differences became friends, or stayed depending on the view.

|Although Jaxx was Jalana's commanding Officer a friendship had developed between them. This friendship deepened when Jaxx laid in a coma and Jalana had the task to figure out why and how to get him out of it. She carries one of his secrets as his Doctor since then. Even though she does not serve with him any more, she still considers him a friend.
