She collected the sample shortly after beaming down, and was later involved in rescuing Lieutenant Choi from the Aggregate forces that had kidnapped him. In retrospect, Kayla realized that some of her decisions while on the surface were made hastily and could have endangered the lives of the rest of her team. Fortunately, they all returned safely to the Eagle, but she made a mental note to think before acting next time. | |||

After adjusting the sensors, the science team discovered the energy being sent from the moon to the gas giant it orbited was causing a Jovian ignition - turning the gas giant into a new star - but doing so in temporal bursts. | |||
