Fresh from the Academy, Kayla reported for duty on the USS Eagle just in time to be a member of the re-inaugural crew. She was immediately enamored with and impressed by the ship and her crew. The Eagle's mission took them out into the Aavaro Wilds, where in a partnership with the Mithgil (a previously unknown species), they played a key role in saving a pre-warp civilization (the Verellians) fro.
