Gloph was born into a long line of survey scientists. His parents currently serve on a Denobulan explorer vessel, whose mission is to update stellar cartography data. | |||
At an early age, Gloph developed a keen interest in geology. His fascination with unlocking history by examining rock layers and fossils stayed with him as he entered Starfleet Academy. Breaking tradition to serve in Starfleet caused initial friction with his family, and for that reason he stays in frequent contact with them every chance he gets. | |||
