Kerelian: Difference between revisions

It is generally accepted that Kerelians have some of the most beautiful voices in the Galaxy. This a result of a unique physiology and an intricate and complex language. It is an extremely precise language with 43 consonants, 13 vowels, and 17 diphthongs. Word stress is placed on the vowels and diphthongs. Nouns in Kerelian are assigned one of five [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammatical_gender grammatical genders], which have no relation to real gender and are expressed tonally. It is worth noting that there is no future tense - when discussing the future, words should be added like "soon" to differentiate present and future. There is also no implicit plural of nouns and instead, requires a number or words like "many". Dialects largely disappeared due to the Age of Enlightenment and there are six distinct accents originating from the two continents and the 4 major islands.  

Most say the voices have a sing song like quality. The language is impossible for most races to speak.
