The population is carefully controlled so as to not exceed the cities maximum potential. Ardanan society is now highly egalitarian, though still culture focused, with the richness of not only Stratos's coffers, but its culture being known throughout the quadrant. There is still something of an informal class system, though it is more like a pecking order, and is used only among those descended from the Stratos Elite and those with the blood of Old Ardana.
