Prior all that, Emmanuelle had been home-schooled her entire life. The repetitive contact with people much older than she, as well as a meaningful absence of peers, were what crafter her character. Thus, she became someone with respect as the main value. After the simple years, the emphasis of her teaching had been put on concrete sciences. It is during her secondary years that she got the fever of numbers. Her father often told her that he did not desire her to go into, what he called, 'humanistic' professions. His own career and reputation in psychology took a time to build. As for her mother, hers happened to be a lucky shot. Needless to say, she made her parents very proud with her academic choice - for of course, they did not know the veritable reason of her going into medicine. Her father took the credit for himself, and to this day never misses to tell everyone how his daughter became a medic 'just because of him !' | |||
