PHYSICIANS' NOTES

After a routine check-up, a narrowing of the patient's hippocampus is detected. Talking to the patient, it is discovered that the brain damage was caused during his gestation. However, it should be noted that there is no record of this in any previous report on this in Starfleet records. The brain damage causes the patient to be unable to access his species-specific telepathic abilities. It is possible that he could use them but to do so would be tremendously dangerous, such an effort could cause an embolism. His condition does not prevent another subject from using telepathic abilities on him. In addition, the brain damage is found to cause minor memory problems in the short and medium term. The subject tries to alleviate them with different techniques. Due to this last problem and to verify that his condition does not affect his performance, a higher frequency of medical check-ups is established, as well as memory tests every time one is performed.

In consultation with Commander Saveron it is emphasized that when he reaches sexual maturity, the lack of telepathic abilities may make it difficult to fulfill his biological need, so in that state he may be a danger to others or to himself. It is recommended to prepare a holographic scenario to solve this problem.
