To find creative ways can be a challenge but the nominations for this winner have all unanimously voted for the best plot-dilemma solution of the year. This solution was not only genius but also hilarious to imagine. Who else would come up with the idea to use our freshly blown off Warp Nacelle as a projectile weapon against attacking pirates? It turned the tide and solved the issue of the second pirate ship. For this it’s our pleasure to reward the Scotty Cross to Jonathan. Congratulations!

During this last year, Jonathan had not dealt only with his own challenges, but has only taken care of his hardships but also took care of his lovely wife who struggled with her health as well and took care of his job, his writing business, their lovely children on top of staying the spark bug we know him as on the Conny. He never lost that light, his humour, creativity or willingness to give his writing his all, reached out to players to plan plots, help them, welcome them and assist despite not being a member of staff at this point. I am in awe that he managed all that despite his RL situation.

This recipient has done a great job giving more depth to the culture of Orions, more specifically the Orion Syndicate. The shadow operation that does not give us much insight has gone from just that to a more detailed alive organization thanks to the in-depth introductions to its cartels and their differences, casts, traditions, oaths and more. It helps to imagine the Syndicate as a living breathing thing but still leaves enough room for ideas about what happens in cartels not mentioned or running under different leaderships. For this feat, I am happy to award the Laudean introduction to Shedet! Congratulations.

This one was an easy choice this year, because one player stood above the rest. This player is major support for staff, but is always always willing to use their characters to support other players’ stories and stir up drama. They’re also wonderfully active and available on Discord to support morale and fun alike. This year’s Neelix Award goes to none other than Johnathan, the player behind Shedet, Nugra, Prendar, and more!

All these are great signs of a writer and a leader. Just like those that take great care in mentoring our members in their early states of simming and beyond that. These great communicators who continuously find ways to motivate and inspire their mentees are awarded with the Pathfinder Award. We have heard about some of the great feats that Jonathan brings with him just a minute ago, but there is more to him. He has proven to be a huge resource for the ship staff. He’s dependable, proactive, and positive with his mentees. On top of that he is always encouraging to see the process of growth. His presence overall could describe him as the greatest cheerleader. Congratulations to Jonathan for winning the Pathfinder award.
