Background

Puckish is one word to describe Sepulsra Hex, who's determination to prove several points to her playfully sharp-tongued brothers lead her to a career in Starfleet as a counsellor. This competitiveness landed her in many a conflict with frustrated professors of the University of Betazed, but also played a key-role in her eventual flourished graduation and admittance to the Academy. She was often described as 'too flirtatious with the art of psychology', and 'too supercilious', descriptions she now wore as badges of honour.

She was born to party-loving public figures, Dwavriya and Cesmol, in the rainy plains of Southern Leiddum, just outside of the bustling spring-metropolis. Hex and her brothers, with their undeveloped telepathy, often pretended to be spies, much to the amusement of their parents house-guests. In later life, this lead Hex to a fascination with gathering intelligence, a juxtaposition that has often made her an eerie counsellor to other telepaths who are aware of it.

Unlike some Betazoids who find their telepathy an arduous inheritance, Hex has always enjoyed hers - at times a little too much. In fact, although her explanation for joining Starfleet is often comprised of anecdotes about her galling brothers, the real reason is far more complicated, having involved an act of Telepathy gone wrong.
