Mischievous, conniving and far too prying for her own good, are just some of the ways Sepulsra Hex was described by sparring lecturers from the University of Betazed during her tenor as a student of clinical psychology. Her 'playful' approach to counselling was scorned by instructors and fellow class-mates, but was ultimately the catalyst for many of her supervised successes, and the reason she was reluctantly kept on the course. Though many of her cases were small and insignificant, one lead her to a career in Starfleet, a memory ironically marred with darkness.

She was born to party-loving naturists and public-figures, Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex, on the outskirts of decorated Metropolis of Leiddum. Other family members are her brothers, Beimal and Deimad, and their wild and vivacious aunt, Hedaia Hex, loved by many of the royal houses of Betazed, and one of Sepulsra's favourite people.
Sepulsra was born in Leiddumai, a place somewhere in [[Betazed]], to parents Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex (née Ekostri), and is the sister of brothers Beimal and Deimad. Although not a noble family, the Hex's have always enjoyed mingling with the upper echelons of society, and so have always held many expectations for their children to do and act as a Noble would. But a tumultuous time in education left Sepulsra with a reputation as a rogue with her own ideas, and a graduation that almost never happened. Joining Starfleet therefore was her way out. Away from Betazed, away from her family and out into the blackness...where she could do as she pleased.
