Backstory/Timeline

Satelk is the paternal grandfather of Sakorra Jefferson Reed. He had no contact with his granddaughter until she visited Vulcan for medical treatment in 2381. She was already an adult serving in Starfleet aboard the USS Kodiak. Satelk recently took a position on Deep Space 17 as a Vulcan ambassador to the Ithassa region.
