Personal & Professional History

Sarish Aenel spent his early years on Bajor, in a mining camp in Bokkuru Province. His mother, Seaj, was a musician who was forced into the mines. His father, Dr. Tirfren , was an independent medical doctor who had been allowed on the planet to care of the Bajoran workers, but not allowed to leave. He has no blood siblings but considers other mining camp survivors as being within his extended family. He also has begun to consider many of her Starfleet companions in this same view.

After Bajor was liberated, Aenel came out of the camps and was accepted into the Music Conservatory. While young for an applicant, he was accepted because of exemplary teaching from his mother. After completing those studies Dr. Tirfren wanted his son to get off of Bajor. He used some of his own contacts to get Aenel recommended to Amazon University in Brazil, well known for their Exo-Linguistics program. He had learned to speak different languages as a child and was quick to pick up words when interacting with Starfleet officers who came down to the Bajor post-liberation. From there Aenel decided to apply to Starfleet Academy and received several recommendations from her University professors and Academy instructors.

He graduated as an intelligence officer and worked as well for several years in several different assignments. Upon the suggestions as some of his commanding officers, and due his conciliatory nature, he joined to the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps.
