Personal History

Both her parents and her youngest brother were killed while doing mercenary work on a Cardassian occupied planet. Starfleet claimed her parents had been there at their own risk and will and didn't want to aid in retrieving the bodies of her family. Together with her oldest brother, Samira started making plans of destroying a Cardassian's weapons depot on that same planet. Unfortunately and having no expertise at all, both were caught. The Cardassians, believing they were acting on behalf of the Maquis, tortured both Samira and Brent in order to gain the coordinates of the Maquis group they supposedly belong to. Even after killing her brother in front of her, the Cardies still didn't believe Samira had nothing to do with the Maquis. After she managed to escape the Cardassian compound, Samira did not want to make the same mistake again. She did join the Maquis to learn their tricks and tactics and has her mind set on sabotaging the Cardassians in every possible way she can.
