::As she slowly returned to consciousness, she was aware of something solid and warm against her. She smiled contentedly, a man's voice reaching through the void. At first, she thought it was Jensar waking her their usual morning play. But when she opened her eyes, she found herself face to face with Janel.::
Tarna: Morning. How are you feeling?
::Lael flushed as she realized how tightly she was clinging to him. Even with Ivina she wasn't that much of a cuddler..::
Rosek: ::clears her throat:: Morning. I'm okay. You?
Tarna: I’m okay, I think. You know I never got the chance to tell you about what happened yesterday.
::Lael stiffened slightly, not sure if she wanted to know.::
Tarna: A woman unlike anything I’ve seen before arrived. I’m not completely sure what species she was. She had a light cream complexion with soft almond eyes, with a muted nose. She appeared to be above our Romulan tormentors in the chain of power. Said “This is not how Sicarius treats its prisoners” before handing that woman’s read end back to her.
Rosek: Sicarius? ::pauses:: Maybe our allies are conspiring with the enemy after all.
::Janel thought about it carefully before answering. ::
Tarna: Maybe. I thought about that too this morning but I wasn’t too sure. I wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders yesterday after the humiliation they put me through and… she walked into the middle of it.
Tarna: Well at least it wasn’t our allies walking in on that…
::Lael's throat tightened at the anxious expression on his face, her hand cupping his cheek. Before she could question the wisdom of what she was about to do, she brushed her lips against his. The moment she realized what she'd done, she jerked back, her cheeks burning intensely as she licked her lips nervously.::
Rosek: I'm sorry. That was out of line.
::Her heart raced as she waited for the inevitable reaction. Yes, emotions were running high. Yes, they were both scared out of their minds. But that was no excuse for...::
Tarna: ::Quietly:: Really? It’s a shame you think so because… I don’t really agree. I…::With a sheepish, nervous smile:: I really liked it. Do you regret it?
::Her gaze locked with his and she sucked in a quiet breath at the emotion simmering just below the surface. Did she regret it? The intensity of what she was feeling surprised her as she realized she'd been wanting to kiss him since just after her session in that freezer. The way his abdomen had felt under her hands, muscles flexing slightly as he shifted...she shivered. If she'd gone with her instincts upon first waking up earlier, she would have done it then. It had been inevitable. The emotional connection between them was too strong to ignore. She didn't know what it meant or where this whole thing was going, but she hadn't felt anything remotely like this since Jensar.::
Rosek: ::breathlessly:: No. How could I?
::Laying a hand on his chest, she captured his lips with hers, but this time she didn't pull back, instead deepening the kiss.::
::And she was lost. She felt his hand cradle the back of her head, his other hand resting on top of hers. She didn't know how long they stayed like that before they broke away, gasping for air. A grin slid across her lips as she leaned her forehead against his.::
Rosek: ::laughs nervously:: Wow.
Rosek: ::licks her lips:: I've never...It's never...That was...::laughs:: I'm speechless. That's new.
Rosek: ::smiles sheepishly:: I...I wouldn't mind doing it again.
