Security Officer: Have a good day, Lieutenant Rosek.

::She didn’t answer, taking off at a sprint for the turbolift, jamming her thumb against the key rapidly until at last the doors opened with excruciating slowness. She stepped inside and barked.::

L. Rosek: Counseling Offices.

::The computer chirped and began its slow journey toward its destination. She closed her eyes and leaned her head against the wall inhaling and exhaling several deep, calming breaths.::

L. Rosek: ::murmurs:: I should have taken the stairs.

((Temporary Counseling Office))

::Jansen rubbed his face. He had once more weathered his storm and settled tiredly in his chair, now it was time to eat and regain what strength he had given up as his body tried to devour itself. So he made his way shakily to the replicator and started looking for something to eat.::

::She nearly tripped in her haste as she struggled with the forearm crutches and the duffel. At last, she found his office and jammed her thumb against the door chime impatiently.::

::Jansen chuckled at the chiming door, of course someone wanted something he was two seconds away from cutting into a nice juicy steak with a over filled twice baked potato beside it. So sitting his utensils down he stood up and made his way around to the door opening it.::

Orrey: Can I help yo-- Lael?

::She dropped the duffel and her crutches, throwing her arms around his neck, and pressed her lips to his in passionate yet tender kisses, laughing a little as the two stumbled back, colliding with the wall, knocking things over on their way. Tears streamed down her face as she pulled back to catch her breath.::

L. Rosek: ::murmurs:: Don’t you ever do that to me again, Jansen Orrey. You had me scared out of my mind.

Orrey: ::Jansen managed to catch her and steady themselves before he pulled back frowning some. Seeing her crutches on the floor, he shifted a little and sat her down in one of the chairs in front of his desk and picked up her things bringing them in.:: I know. That's why I left...so you could be with your friends and family and get your back fixed.

L. Rosek: ::exhales heavily and closes her eyes and inhales again before opening her eyes:: What was that? You were so...

Orrey: Scary. ::He gives her a small wounded look.::

L. Rosek: ::laughs without humor:: Not quite the word I’d use.

Orrey: Well I did something to make you run away from me, when all I was doing was protecting you.

L. Rosek: ::shakes her head vehemently:: I wasn’t running from you. God, no. I was scared of what I might do. How I might embarrass us both if I-- ::blushes:: I LOVED what you did.

::Jansen gave her a funny look for a moment and moved back to the replicator ordering a second version of his dinner but changing the steak and toppings of the potato to suit Lael’s tastes turning and sitting it in front of her.::

L. Rosek: ::grimaces:: You’re repulsed.

Orrey: You look like you are about to keel over, and I am starving. Eat.

::He ordered her a root beer float and sat it in front for her as well.::

Orrey: I could never be repulsed by you.

::She shoved the plate aside, rising to grasp his face in her hands, pressing a tender kiss to his lips.::

L. Rosek: ::murmurs:: I love you. So much.

Orrey: ::Jansen returned the kiss and smiled at her.:: I love you too. Now please. Eat. Relax. Rest. You are here everything is fine….slow down.

L. Rosek: ::closes her eyes and lets out a shaky breath:: What you did… ::murmurs:: I had no idea you were so strong. ::slides a hand to his bicep and squeezes::

Orrey: The word is protective. oO And sick. Not well, unhealthy Oo

L. Rosek: ::whispers:: If you hadn’t, I would have. I wouldn’t have even batted an eyelash.

Orrey: But you have such pretty eyelashes. ::He smiles down at her lovingly still letting her rub his arm.::

L. Rosek: ::laughs breathily:: Flirt.

Orrey: ::He shrugs.:: But you enjoy it.

L. Rosek: ::smirks:: So long as I’m the only one on the receiving end of it. But after that display, I don’t think there’s even a shadow of a doubt about that.

Orrey: Doubt of what?

L. Rosek: ::murmurs:: How much you want me. The lengths you’d go to in order to protect me.

Orrey: That I've been trying to make you understand for months. It's why I asked you that question a few months back.

L. Rosek: ::smirks and goads:: And what question might that be, dear?

Orrey: To marry me Lael.
