Penelope and Deana were both born at Antarctic Research Station 3 on Earth; A highly robust and temperature regulated research building in the Antarctic. The two sisters had been born to a Bajoran mother, Emi Roox and a human father Dan Jones. The two girls grew up at Research Station 3 until Deana was 13 and the two of them moved to warmer climates to live with their human aunt, Mary Jones - Stone, Uncle, Duke Stone and cousins Frida and Flint Stone
