Relationship with Tobias

Often the only playmates for each other growing up, Tobias and Darin had a strong relationship through their childhood. As the younger sibling, Darin looked up to Tobias and was grateful that his elder brother almost always thought to include him in whatever he was up to and would look out for him if he ever was in trouble.

As teenagers the pair continued to enjoy spending time together, although Darin often resented the extra freedoms Tobias was allowed to enjoy. They continued to communicate with one another when Tobias went to University and Tobias assisted Darin in his own application to University to study archaeology several years later.

When Tobias underwent the joining Darin was working away from Trill and so was not a witness to the falling out between Tobias and their parents. He continues to talk with Tobias and to be friendly with him but struggles at the tension now present in their family's relations. He has done his best however to remain impartial and continues to attempt to mend bridges between Tobias and his father.
