Background
- 2367: Born Paul McTerry, his father an engineer, his mother and LCARS screen designer.
- 2373: Pauls parents divorce due to Eric's heavy drinking after several projects failed, due to incompetence and/or inferior materials.
- 2375: Mary marries Ralph Sleeford, Paul and Delphie are formally adopted by Ralph 8 months later. Paul worked on the farm during the school holidays, giving Paul a work ethic of hard work never hurt anyone.
- 2385: Leaving school, Paul joined the Starfleet Marine Corps Officer course and started training.
- 2390: During a training exercise Paul fell from a cliff face leaving him with a shattered pelvis and a broken left hip. During his recovery, he was given the choice of either a medical discharge or to retake the entire course, by a vindictive Gunnery Sgt. Knowing that even the least competent student on the course would outrank him in 5 years Paul took a discharge. After leaving Paul spent 6 months drinking himself into a stupor. Ralph found him drunk as a lord on night lying against the pigsty. Picking him up he threw hi into the sty with the words. "If your gonna live like an animal, you can sleep with um". Spending 3 days in the stinking mire pulled Paul back to reality.
- 2392: After two years working on the farm, Paul heard his ‘father’ was in a hospital in the Southern African states, travelling down he found his father had tried to break into a Starfleet installation, where he was shot and arrested.
- 2393: Paul joins the Academy as a mature student and selects his major as Security.
- 239705.18: Paul along with the rest of his class starts his cadet final cruise.
