Personal History
Born in the Eurasian Hills of Britain and from the tender age of 10, the young Paul was fascinated by Vulcan’s, mostly for their humour, or lack thereof. As a school project, the young Paul whose friends had nicknamed him Phoenix watched him go off to Vulcan and attend schooling on with Vulcan studies; he would be assigned a Vulcan family who had agreed to take part in such a project. This project would be a two year study, his other studies would be sent to his Vulcan school. Two years later the twelve year old Paul returned to earth with a basic recommendation from the Vulcan’s, this was their way of showing praise for a human child with his studies. For the remainder of his schooling, the emotional control which he had quickly picked up that teaching. This new skill did not make him many friends, those that were his friends; either knew him from his homeland or was Vulcan. Paul was raised by his Aunt up until he joined Starfleet Academy.
At the age of 16 years old, his mother passed away, when in public, he mourned as a Vulcan mourned, but in private he wept, this emotional control stood him in good stead when he decided to join Starfleet, his Father was so proud of him that a leaving party was held for Paul, courtesy of his dad. What never made it onto his Service record was that he was very good at Computers, his strong points was detecting and blocking any type of Virus and ability to partition computer cores. He is also very observant of others and is a student of body language, he notice things that, most do not, of late. Most recently his experiences have made him a little jaded in some opinions, knowing that dangers lay out in space he is still Starfleet and had a habit of falling back more on his Vulcan emotional control now that he ever did at his last posting.
Paul along with his then girlfriend Alexandria Somers took part in Operation Brightstar out in the Ithassa Region while under the command of Fleet Captain Sidney Riley. This was back when he was a Ensign-Lieutenant Jg. and Alex a 2nd Lieutenant newly commissioned as she was given a field commission. After this as a full Lieutenant Paul served first on the USS Discovery-B then C, during his time on the Discovery-B he took part in a mission that involved Vampiric Remans, and he got the chance to use his Katana blade. Not staying long on the Discovery Paul transferred to Duronis II Embassy where he currently remains along with his New wife who is pregnant with twins. Now with a promotion to Lieutenant Commander, Paul has to find his Command legs and as Chief Tactical Officer this is a must for him.
With the recent birth of his twins, he and his wife agreed that she should return to earth as Duronis II Embassy was in their eyes a little too upredictable. As these were their first borns they wanted to ensure their safety, so shortly before Sharpe started upon his next mission he saw his wife and her Sister off. Now he is finally feeling the lonliness, but he is coping with it and has not yet let it affect his duties.
Upon Commander Nugra being granted his own command Paul got reassigned to the USS Victory as its Chief of Security, along with Chris Kildare who he knew quite well and S'arila Donovan who he has not yet met, but will. During his short time ont he Victory Pauls first tean leader on an away mission ended in sorrow, he lost someone in his team. But while he was initially dispondent he managed to climb back on the horse so to speak and adjust, now on the Victory he splits his time between bridge duty and Deck 4, with an emphasis on deck 4 and ships Security. Now he has been posted to the USS Gorkon with a reduced rank, an enemy from his past used latest events against him and put him where he is currently rank-wise.
Parental Images
Paul's Mother was a kind and loving mother, who was a home-maker. She was also kind to a fault and loved her family, but fate being such a fickle thing decided to take her live at a young age, she was only 49 when she and her husband died in a diving accident, the facility was run by a Ferengi who was sued and prosecuted and deported for running an unsafe establishment. Still the hole she left in her families hearts was still felt to this day, while her only child made out good with life, he still held a hole for his departed Mother as both were very close when he was a young boy.Every year on his Mothers birthday he would leave some flowers at her grave, which was next to his fathers. If for some reason he was unable to make it his Aunt would be the one to do the honours, since her passing he has asked his Cousins to do the honours, which they have been more than happy to do.
Paul's Dad was as any Father would be, a little distant, but he also loved his family and was close to his son Paul when he was growing up both were close enough to be considered thick as Thieves as they were always getting into trouble together. When Paul was old enough he was sent to Vulcan for some schooling, this was in the wake of a joke that was done gone wrong, it shook both himself and his Father up. His Father sent him to Vulcan while Tom and his wife Irene Went on a diving holiday, to a facility run by a Ferengi. The facility looked above board but something went wrong and both Parents died, the Ferengi in question was sued and punished as he also lost his licence. Paul had just finished his second year of schooling on Vulcan when the news reached him, heart broken he returned home with some of his Vulcan friends who had met his parents, but after that he never returned to Vulcan.
Sharpe's Family Home
This is where a young Paul Sharpe grew up and lived with his parents before they passed away, despite its old style, it had all the mod cons of the 24th Century, but little Paul enjoyed what time he had with his parents and around the house grounds. The house is set high in the South Wales Valleys of Britain, where there was a liberal mix of trees and lush farm land. There was also some large lakes and small ponds. At one point in young Paul's life he used to go down to the local swamp and hunt for tadpole eggs, he liked to see how they grew into frogs. It was in this area he also went for long hikes first with his parents, then on his own and occasionally with his Uncle and Aunt. He first met his future wife Alexandria Somers on such a hike and while both were technically from two different worlds socially they hit it off and a bond grew between them.
Family
This is one of three Photos Sharpe has on his desk, this one shows his wife Marine Captain Alexandria Somers in a "cute" pose, as he is out in the sticks of Federation space, he wanted something to remind him what he was doing this for. Another, but in this one his wife was showing him her cheeky side and showing how much she loved and missed him, this one she is puckering up for the photo.

Memorable Personal Interactions
Rear Admiral Toni Turner
Paul's first meeting of then Captain Toni Turner was when he arrived on the USS Centris-A for his training flight before posting to an active frontline ship. Paul always thought kindly of Captain Turner and despite their disparity in rank and experience, he always considered the Captain his friend. Over time Paul ended up at the Embassy and got reacquainted with the Captain, she was at his wedding and both he and his new wife asked the Captain to be their childrens Godmother, when they found out that Alexandria was pregnant. Captain Turner agreed and so then Captain Turner became part of the Sharpe/Somers extended family after a fashion. Paul's last interaction with Captain Turner was shortly before he left the Embassy for a posting on the USS Victory.
Fleet Captain Sidney Riley
Paul first encountered and had more interaction with the then XO of the USS IndependenceA later on she attained the rank of Captain and Command of the Indy-A. While Paul had some contact on a person to person level, his wife Alexandria Somers had even more interaction with the feisty Captain, both were fiesty women in their own rights and on occasion clashed with methods and tactics. Somers was your typical Marine NCO tested in battle, going up against a more seasoned veteran in Riley, while under her command Somers gained a field commission to 2nd Lieutenant, she did not remain on the Indy-A long and with her leaving the ship, Paul Sharpe returned to active duty.
Captain Nugra
Paul first met Nugra at the Duronis II Embassy along with his soon to be wife and their friend Sergeant Major Chris Kildare, initially neither had much interaction outside of duty, later on Paul always wondered why. when Commander Nugra got the USS Victory to command a set number of officers and crew went with him. On the Victory Paul had a slightly more interaction with Nugra, but then it was subordinate to Commanding Officer
Lt. Cmdr Eerie
Paul and Eerie have had a more interaction options than any others, both have been on the same away teams and Paul got on well with the Brikar Officer. On the USS Victory he was First Officer and Paul was Chief of Security, but both still got along amicably. Now Eerie was Chief of Security and Paul 2IC Security/Tactical Department. So now both were working more closely on the USS Gorkon he and Eerie seemed to trust him, which warmed the cockles of Paul's heart.
Colonel Tyr Waltas
Paul's first meeting with Colonel Waltas was back when he was Captain and Commander of the USS Discovery-B and later C, despite his best efforts he and the then Captain did not get on too well, as far as he could surmise, it was always hard to tell when on duty, but on occasion they locked horns but for a main reason Waltas was the CO and Paul just wanted to let things slide, knowing that when someone has been alive as long as Captain Waltas had, one was prone to becoming set in the way they run their command, Paul did not begrudge Waltas, after all despite them locking horns on occasion Paul acknowledged that Waltas had earned that right.
