She incorporates the latest from the Starfleet Corps of Engineers and Starfleet R&D such as advanced shields, a bioneural gel computer system, and an XV warp drive capable of temporary speeds of up to Warp 12 in the revised Warp Speed Chart. The 'Oumuamua does not, however, have a quantum slipstream drive. It has 2 Type-17 Heavy Argo Transports, 2 Type-11 Long Range Shuttles, a unique Explore-class shuttle named the Nichols, and a small vehicle fabricator. The 'Oumuamua is crewed by 350 (90 officers and 260 enlisted) with a few family members and civilians. It also has a deployment of 59 Oumuamua Marine Detachment. The 'Oumuamua is also outfitted to be a top-of-the-line explorer, with a customizable mission pod equipped with specialized sensors. Her sensors are the best in Starfleet. The Luna class class is a little larger and newer but otherwise somewhat similar to the Intrepid class class. Most often these other vessels do not show up unless needed for a particular mission. They can generally be thought of as operating "in the area" but "off-screen" during the course of our stories.
