Living mostly as an itinerant student, Niera recently met several members of the crew of the USS Resolution. She was immediately enamored with Etan Iljor, and it appears there may be something brewing between the two. She has a small cat named Morokos, named for the carnivorous small mammalian predator native to Daros IV, an Orion colony world. She carries him in a specially made satchel and he is her constant companion.
