Personality

Considered by many to be lazy and uncaring, Nick Muller lived most of his recent life as simply and with as little work as possible. He knew exactly how to walk the line as to not be punished, but still be incredibly lazy. He once had ambition, however he gave it up long ago for a simple, easy, life. As of 2386 he re-adopted a more optimistic point of view and began to look forward once again toward greatness.

Personal History

Nick grew up on Alpha Centauri to farming parents, who operated vast stretches of farmland across various star systems. He originally had no desire to join Starfleet, until during secondary school he went to a presentation made by an Academy recruiter. He set his sights on being Captain of his own vessel, and strove toward being accepted into the Academy. His application was denied.

Disheartened, Muller decided he did not want to work in the private sector. He enlisted in Starfleet, all the while finding himself drifting further and further away from the dream he had. Years of this perspective built upon itself until Muller became what he dreaded; a man with no ambition; no drive other than to do nothing at all.

After being assigned to the USS Tiger, Muller found himself under a new Chief of Security. His boss eventually put his foot down on Muller's behavior after his laziness caused potentially vital information from being delivered. Although no harm was done, Muller was forced to re-evaluate himself, and was ordered to skip leave and patrol the recently attacked DS17. During a patrol following a second bombing, Muller was tortured and brutally murdered by an evil consciousness infesting Lieutenant Commander Firestarter.

Death

Muller was patrolling the damaged sections of DS17 following explosions throughout the station. He noticed Commander Firestarter in pain, and attempted to come to his aid. Firestarter fled to a damaged corridor without lighting, and Muller followed only to find that Firstarter's demeanor had changed dramatically. Having no idea that Firestarter was being controlled by a hostile entity, Muller didn't expect him to suddenly turn violent and attack. Caught off guard, Muller had both his arms and legs broken before being shot and killed by a high energy phaser blast.
