Natia was born on Stardate 237104.28 in Lor'Tan, [[Andoria]]. Her Thaan father was an attorney and then a judge in the Starfleet JAG for many years, before retiring from Starfleet to become a civilian judge. She was fascinated by the work he did - from courts martial to the occasional discussion-stealing ethical and moral dilemmas that he had come across. Some said it was due to their similarities, some said it was solely to follow the "family career", but no one was surprised when she had enlisted in Starfleet to learn law and join the JAG.
