Technical Specifications
Miranda VII is a space station known for its unique architectural design and controversial ownership history. Built on a Cardassian core-modular design, the station features a ring structure with critical functions protected in the central core, while non-critical sections occupy the outer ring. However, despite its Cardassian origins, Miranda VII's appearance deviates significantly from typical Cardassian installations due to the incorporation of Romulan-acquired components. This amalgamation of influences has resulted in a distinctive aesthetic resembling a cross between a flock of birds and a doughnut.
The station's innovative design revolves around the concept of wing ribs, which act as separate entities within the larger structure. Each wing rib is supported by primary pylons that integrate crucial life support and power systems. This modular approach allows individual sections to be completely isolated from the rest of the station by individuals with sufficient engineering skills. However, this design also poses potential risks, as the primary support columns house auto-destruct weaponry. In 2400, the xenophobic terrorist organization Terra Prime made use of the self-destruct mechanisms after abandoning Miranda VII.
Ownership
Ownership of Miranda VII has been a complex and convoluted affair. Technically, the Saan family holds ownership of the station. The Saans, being one of the powerful Orion dynasties, have been involved in various illicit activities, including slave trading and drug dealing. Miranda VII once served as their hiding place during a period when the Syndicate was believed to be defunct. However, with the resurgence of the Syndicate on the fringes of space, the station found itself distant from the Saan family's main holdings and became a passive source of income.
Vintam Dalreth acquired the station until 2398, where he was outbid by Nacien Rixx who, as anonymous benefactor allowed Terra Prime to gain a foothold in the sector.
In 2400, Miranda VII was returned to Dalreth's ownership.
Missions on Miranda VII

Starfleet intelligence reported a missing officer after the attack on Earth. An informant claimed to have seen her on a shady outpost, Starport Miranda VII. Fleet Captain Taybrim sent out his first officer and a team to find and return the officer for questioning. It is uncertain what she might know, why she ran or what part in all this she played. Which was why her capture was such a high priority.
Never Mix Your Drinks
What starts as a simple drink becomes a major conspiracy when the Federation freighter SS Annabelle's Lament explodes just out of the Geneva VI Cargobase killing all 65 passengers and crew onboard. It was carrying a full shipment of Gold Dew, as well as various terraforming chemicals.
Meanwhile, the merchant freighter NGV Fortune's Determination docks at StarBase 118, and immediately sets off an unauthorized lifeform alert. The Fortune's Determination's Captain Darold Tashina denies any knowledge of an illicit passenger while cargo control hunts for a stowaway. They find Zel Rohan, a battered Cardassian/Bajoran drifter hiding in a silk crate. The bedraggled hybrid collapses from dehydration and malnutrition shortly after being uncovered, and is taken to security. The mystery quickly deepens as Starbase crew discover that Zel Rohan was the last person to deliver cargo to the SS Annabelle's Lament before the ship took off on it's delivery route; meeting with the ship at the Miranda VII Spaceport. When Zel wakes, he quickly denies that he had anything to do with the explosion of the Lament - that he merely delivered a load of the valuable alcohol Gold Dew. Security suspects that Zel knows far more than he is letting on, but the hybrid refuses to talk, insisting that he'll be hunted down and shot if he does.

Return of Terra Prime
When a 1000 hours mission briefing with Sal Taybrim gets moved up last minute, the crew expects that such urgent news is not good ones - a suspicion that quickly proves to be correct.
Commodore Taybrim informs that an internal power struggle had resulted in new leadership of Terra Prime. He shows a recording of Commander Naystrim, the new leader, who demands the Federation concede the system of Ivulos to Terra Prime’s control, and consider it freeworld territory outside the jurisdiction of the Federation and the protection of Starfleet. Of course, that is not an option - Ivulos is a strategically valuable location that opens up a trade way between Federation and Klingon territory, and which would allow free trade with the Orion Syndicate, as well as a good launching place for aggressions against the Gorn Hegemony, the Klingon Empire and the Federation. In addition, Taybrim explains that the IKS Chang-Vor'ch, a Klingon vessel disloyal to the Klingon Empire and allied with the Tal Shiar, procured a high-yield tri-cobalt warhead. The Chang-Vor'ch’s signature was tracked momentarily uncloaking at Miranda VII, and it is assumed that Terra Prime has acquired the warhead.
Taybrim’s hope to be proactive rather than reactive is shattered when an updated report informs that a single, solitary ship has launched from Miranda VII, and according to calculations, it will crash into Ivulos’ sun. With the suspected amount of tri-cobalt, the star will explode and destroy everything in the system with it.
Together with three other ships, the Narendra is dispatched to follow the ship launched to Ivulos. The goal is to find the warhead, and diffuse it before it reaches any populated destination.
Siege of Terra Prime
There is a traitor in Intel. This becomes clear when Nestira Aristren is removed from her position as Chief Counsellor and sent on an undercover mission on Miranda VII, where she remains over the span of several weeks.
During her time posing as Nyra Altman, she enters into a romantic relationship with Yavir Moray, and a working relationship with his sister Dr Katalina Moray. Both are part of Naystrim’s inner circle and therefore valuable connections.
When Aristren discovers that her reports are not making it to Ops, she elects to help the four teenagers Kayla, Lauri, Sam and Liz in repairing a shuttle to escape Miranda VII. The plan is to use the shuttle’s updated comms array to send an automated report to Ops.
Before the plan can come to fruition, an explosion in the medical facility injures Aristren. Katalina rushes to her aid and discovers that she isn’t human. In a moment of panic, Aristren uses her telepathy to keep Katalina from calling the guards, causing a brain aneurism in the process.
Aristren flees Miranda VII with help of 'Alasafor', another Rodulan she has met only a few weeks prior. Yavir finds Katalina effectively braindead and commits to finding out what happened.
He is contacted by Vivienne Hatfield, and informed that Nyra is in truth Nestira Aristren, and that she is Starfleet. Yavir leaves Naystrim’s group to confront her.
