Born and raised on Betazed, Luke posses the telepathic abilities of the inhabitants. Upon becoming of age, Luke decided to pursue a career in Medicine, like his father before him. However, he realised that a challenge was what would really continually drive him. Applying to Starfleet academy, he completed his basic training, and on reccomendation of his academy professors, he gained a place in starfleet medical academy. He found it difficult at the best of times, especially when it came to the emotional pain that was felt not only by his patients, but by Luke himself. However, Luke believes that this drives him to become a strong willed, skillful, and respected medical practitioner among the stars.
