Hobbies and Pastimes
- Flying: Sylvek used to fly atmospheric crafts while at medical school on Vulcan and still has a few skills. But only when he has gravity and a horizon to help him - his space piloting skills are pretty lacking.
- Kal-toh: Sylvek prefers to play the game by himself as a way to settle his mind, especially after a chaotic session in surgery.

Personal History
Loxley’s father, Sylvik, worked as an envoy at the Vulcan consulate in Canberra and met Lillian while exploring Earth and taking a tour of castles on the English/Welsh border.
The pair were together for 5 years before Lillian fell pregnant. During the pregnancy, genetic complications became apparent as the Human and Vulcan genes struggled to integrate despite medication and procedures designed to assist with hybrid gestation. The couple moved to Vulcan where Sylvik was born and raised.
After studying medicine, Sylvik was due to enter Starfleet as a medical officer. Instead, he defied his parents wishes and jumped a ship to the colonies where he had heard doctors were desperately needed. He found himself working at a clinic and treating survivors of Cardassian attacks as well as injured Marquis fighters. Seeing the violence first hand he became an 'accidental rebel' and fell in with the Skarbek crew, vowing never to return to Starfleet or the Federation.
Sylvik eschews violence himself - he sees himself as a healer. Although he knows his crewmates achieve their aims through violent means, Syl is content with patching them up when they need it. He's aware of the hypocrisy of what he does, and he lives in fear of the day he may be forced to fight.
