Personality/Appearance: Laxe Adea (formerly Sim) is a slight woman, small with tightly curled white hair. She was born in 2346, making her about 50 years old. She grew up in a wealthy family and as such feels no need to work, preferring to pass the time in spiritual contemplation. She did, however, study at a Betazoid arts college near her home, with a specialism in theatre.
Relationship with Tillul: Laxe Sim was the second wife of Tillul Sim. She knows very little of her husband's first wife, except that she was murdered by him. She is about a decade younger than him. She was on a visit to Earth when she met Tillul, they fell in love and she returned to Betazed a few months later with a heavy heart. On returning to Betazed, she discovered she was pregnant, and contacted Tillul. Having just killed Fumiko in order to be with Laxe, he decided a fresh start was best and so made his way back to Betazed just in time to witness the birth of Genkos. She recently invaded her husband's mind and discovered the deception that Tillul had been concealing for nearly thirty years. Disgusted with her husband, she is ensuring that he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law, as well as reverting to her non-married name.
Relationship with Genkos: Genkos is close to his mother, and considers her to be an excellent cook. She has always been slightly disappointed that Genkos has a stronger bond with his father than with her - preferring Tillul's interests to hers. She could never get Genkos to share her interest in comic books. The only victory she can praise is that Genkos is not an atheist - he may not be as devoutly religious as she is, but Genkos shares his mother's spirituality, and the pair of them frequented shrines together.
