Background
Kyrrha grew up in a world where the common belief was she couldn’t do it. She was always subpar in some way and for quite a few years, she believed it. Both her stepbrothers made a strong name for themselves, on Q’onoS, but she languished on Earth. Her mother was determined to breed out her own weak blood by mating with a pure-blooded Klingon but met Kyrrha’s father and produced a daughter she couldn’t fully respect. Jossov was kind but emotionally unavailable as Vulcans are and her mother’s definition of love including constant challenges, slight verbal abuse, threats, and fits of emotion. Chahl`era’s instability drove Kyrrha to her father home world and deeper into the Vulcan culture. Even so, Kyrrha struggles with her own emotions because of her Klingon side.
After spending years in study and not in battle, much to her mother’s chagrin, Kyrrha made the decision to enroll in Starfleet. She reasoned that she would not be content in a classroom and desired to apply the knowledge she’d gained. She chose to study science, continuing her specialization in Quantum Mechanics and drawing upon her years in the Vulcan Science Academy.
Kyrrha is vegan, abstaining from all animal and dairy products regardless of planet of origin. She tends to become emotionally overwhelmed and, in an effort to curb any Klingon outbursts, spends some of her free time in deep, focused mediation, using Earth crystals to cleans and guide her. Kyrrha also enjoys creating art, using most mediums including paints, clay, pencils, etc. Should what she dubs “Klingon Rage” become too overpowering, Kyrrha releases that energy in the gym.
